About Sagra di Castello
A centuries-old festival at the foot of the Rocca
The Sagra di Castello is one of the most beloved events in Arzignano, in the province of Vicenza: with over one hundred and twenty editions behind it, it is rooted in the life of the village of Castello, at the foot of the Rocca Scaligera which dominates the town in the West Vicentino area. Every summer, at the beginning of July, the Piazzale della Vittoria and the walls of the ancient medieval village come alive for ten days of celebration.
The Castello Summer Village
The festival has adopted the Castello Summer Village format: every evening, the food stalls open at 7 PM, while the stage offers themed evenings with live music and DJ sets, from the 90s to the greatest hits of the 2000s, up to Latin nights. There are also shows, entertainment, and moments dedicated to families, in a popular festive atmosphere that attracts visitors from all over the region.
Devotion to Saint Eurosia
The spiritual heart of the festival is the cult of Saint Eurosia, traditionally invoked against natural disasters and for the protection of harvests. On the central Sunday, the solemn Holy Mass and the procession cross the village, while guided tours of the Rocca are often offered, as it opens its spaces to the public during the festival days.
A village celebrating
Between the medieval walls, the spaces of the Rocca, and the square, the Sagra di Castello combines Venetian gastronomy, religious tradition, and entertainment. Admission is free, and the festival represents one of the main events of the Arzignano summer.
Sagra di Castello — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Sagra di Castello, the 122nd, is scheduled from July 4th to 13th at Piazzale della Vittoria in Arzignano, in the village of Castello. Ten days of Castello Summer Village with food stalls, live music, DJ sets, and themed evenings.
The religious heart of the festival is the Sunday dedicated to Saint Eurosia, with the solemn Mass and procession through the village, accompanied by guided tours of the Rocca Scaligera.

How to get there
Castello is the historic village of Arzignano (VI), located above the town center. Arzignano can be reached from the A4 motorway (Montecchio Maggiore exit) and from the SP246 of the Valle dell'Agno. Piazzale della Vittoria is at the foot of the Rocca.
Opening hours and admission
Food stalls open every evening from 7 PM. Free admission to all evenings. Guided tours of the Rocca are offered on some festival days.
