The Festa del Formaggio di Ponna

Ponna is a small municipality in the province of Como, spread across the hamlets of Ponna Superiore, Ponna di Mezzo, and Ponna Inferiore, in the heart of Valle Intelvi, the plateau separating the Como branch of Lake Como from Lake Lugano. Here, in July, the Associazione Sportiva Ponna organises the Festa del Formaggio (Cheese Festival), one of the most popular events in the valley's summer calendar.

Artisan Market and Tastings

For one day, the entire village transforms into a journey of taste: along the streets and squares, an artisan market unfolds, while stalls offer tastings of local cheeses, representing the mountain cheesemaking tradition of Valle Intelvi. The festival combines the promotion of typical products with the conviviality of an outdoor day, bringing together residents, holidaymakers, and hikers.
