Saint Martha in Carate Urio

Every year, on the Sunday closest to July 29th, the village of Carate Urio, on Lake Como, dedicates a festival to Saint Martha, a figure deeply venerated in local tradition. It is one of the most beloved events of the Carate summer, attracting residents and holidaymakers to the small church named after the saint.

The Procession and Music

The most evocative moment is the procession, which winds through the lakeside village in an atmosphere steeped in devotion and tradition.
