The initiative, sponsored by the Municipality of Ponzano Romano and realized thanks to local associations—the «Giovani a una certa maniera» association, the Parish of S. Nicola da Bari, the Confraternity of San Sebastiano, the Hunters' Club, and the «Il Polverino» Dragon Boat Club, in collaboration with the Pro Loco of Ponzano Romano—was born as a fundraiser for the restoration of a section of the Palazzo Abbaziale, one of the historic buildings that define the village's skyline. In short, eating, dancing, and sailing also serve to give something back to the town.
