The Patrons of Lipomo

Lipomo, a municipality in the province of Como located close to the main city on Lake Como, celebrates its patron saints, Vito and Modesto, on June 15th. The Parish of Saints Vito and Modesto, on Viale Beato Guanella, is the heart of the festival, which commemorates the martyrdom of Saints Vito, Modesto, and Crescenzia, which according to tradition occurred on June 15th, 303 AD.

The Procession of Saint Vito
