In Bulgarograsso, a town in the Brianza area of Como province, the Sagra di Sant'Anna is the summer event. Dedicated to Saint Anne — whose liturgical feast day is July 26th — the festival has been running for decades and attracts thousands of visitors from surrounding towns every year, making it one of the most popular festivals in the Como region.
Faith and Popular Celebration
The event intertwines two aspects. On one hand, the religious aspect, with the Votive Mass of Saint Anne, the procession with the statue of the saint departing from Piazza Risorgimento, and the celebrations in the parish church. On the other hand, the popular aspect, marked by the renowned cuisine and bar of the "Amici di Sant'Anna", evenings of music and dancing, games for children, performances, and the traditional fireworks displays that conclude the main days.
A Landmark for the Region
Lasting several days and organized by volunteers from Amici di Sant'Anna, the festival is much more than a village fair: it is a moment of identity for Bulgarograsso and the entire area, capable of bringing together devotion, conviviality, and good Como cuisine over several days in July.

Based on recent editions, the festival is spread over several days with the following structure: card tournament, "Busecada di S.Anna" evening, charity raffle and games for children, cycling performances, musical entertainment and dancing, fireworks display, and on the final day, the Solemn Mass, community lunch, sports tournaments (volleyball, rugby), and prize draw with final fireworks. The kitchen and bar of the Amici di Sant'Anna are open on the three main days.
