About Patronale di Brenna

In mid-June, Brenna, a small municipality in the Como Brianza region, celebrates its patron saints Gervaso and Protaso with the village festival. The heart of the event is the oratory: the Saturday evening dance, with an orchestra, kitchen, and bar open, and on Sunday, the solemn Holy Mass followed by a community lunch. A simple and rooted event that brings together the families of the community.

The patronal festival of Brenna

Brenna is a small municipality in the Province of Como, nestled among the woods of the Como Brianza region, a few kilometers from Cantรน. Every year, in mid-June, the village gathers around the parish church and the oratory for the festival of patron saints Gervaso and Protaso, Milanese martyrs whose feast day falls on June 19th.

Two days of community

The festival is concentrated in the spaces of the oratory, which become the meeting point for the entire community. Saturday evening is dedicated to the dancing evening, with a live orchestra, ballroom dancing, kitchen, and bar open: a tradition that in Brenna attracts residents and friends from neighboring villages. Sunday revolves around the solemn Holy Mass in honor of the patron saints, followed by the community lunch in the oratory.

A rooted celebration

More than a major tourist event, Brenna's patronal festival is a village festival in the truest sense: an opportunity to get together, share a meal, and keep alive a religious and popular tradition. The setting is the intimate atmosphere of the small Brianza village in the Province of Como, where the patron saint's festival remains one of the most heartfelt events of the year.
