The Terra e Laghi Festival is one of the most important travelling theatre reviews in Northern Italy: organized by Teatro Blu, it crosses Insubria every year – the territory between Lombardy, Piedmont, and the Canton of Ticino – bringing open-air performances to dozens of municipalities. Among these is Cassina Rizzardi, a municipality in the Province of Como, which hosts the performances in its Piazza Silvio Pellico.

Family shows, free entry

The Cassina Rizzardi stops are mainly dedicated to family theatre, with shows designed to engage both adults and children. Admission is free, in line with the festival's philosophy, which aims to make theatre accessible to everyone and spread culture in the smaller towns of the region, far from the big city stages.

The 20th edition in 2026

In 2026, the festival celebrates its twentieth edition, with a programme running from May to November and touching dozens of municipalities in Insubria with numerous performances. In Cassina Rizzardi, two events are scheduled: 'Il Circo dei Bambini' by Teatrino dell'ES from Bologna, a puppet and mask show, and 'Naturalmente' by Teatro Blu, a family theatre piece directed by Silvia Priori.
