About Festa dei Bigoli

The Festa dei Bigoli is the July sagra (traditional festival) of the hamlet of Mazzano di Negrar di Valpolicella, in the province of Verona. The absolute stars are the bigoli, the long artisanal pasta of the Venetian tradition, offered with a wide choice of sauces at the Mazzano Sports Centre. Stand open in the evenings and all day Sunday, with evenings of music, orchestras, tributes, and dancing that liven up the festival in the heart of Valpolicella Classica.

Bigoli take centre stage in Mazzano

The Festa dei Bigoli is the summer sagra (traditional festival) of the hamlet of Mazzano, in Negrar di Valpolicella, a municipality in the province of Verona in the heart of Valpolicella Classica. The undisputed protagonist is a dish from the Venetian tradition: bigoli, a long, rough, and full-bodied pasta, ideal for holding sauces, here offered in many artisanal variations.

Food, stalls, and fun

The festival takes place at the Mazzano Sports Centre, with the food stall open in the evenings and all day on Sundays. In addition to bigoli with their various sauces, the sagra offers evenings of music and dancing: ballroom orchestras, dance music, tributes to great Italian artists, Latin American evenings with dance schools, and theatrical performances. A popular and convivial formula that attracts families and visitors from all over the valley.

A community festival

Now in its several editions, the Festa dei Bigoli is an event rooted in the life of the hamlet of Mazzano, organised by the local committee with the involvement of the entire community. Between a plate of bigoli and an evening on the dance floor, it's an opportunity to discover the hospitality and authentic flavours of Valpolicella.

Festa dei Bigoli — edition 2026

In 2026, the Festa dei Bigoli will once again liven up the Mazzano di Negrar Sports Centre in July, with artisanal bigoli in their many sauces, the food stall, and evenings of music and dancing. The precise dates and detailed programme will be announced by the committee closer to the event.

The 2026 edition of the Festa dei Bigoli is expected, as per tradition, in July at the Mazzano Sports Centre in Negrar di Valpolicella. The event will feature artisanal bigoli with a wide selection of sauces, the food stall open in the evenings and all day Sunday, and evenings with orchestras, tributes, and dancing.
