The Sagra del Patrono is the most important village festival in San Pietro in Cariano, a municipality nestled in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, in the province of Verona. The event celebrates the patron saint, Saint Peter the Apostle, whose feast day is June 29th, and is the time when the entire community comes together to share faith, tradition, and conviviality.

Gastronomy, music, and fun

For about nine days, the village comes alive with a rich food stall, evenings of live music, and a funfair that attracts families and young people from all over Valpolicella. The festival, organized by the Parish of Saint Peter the Apostle together with the Vivi San Pietro association, blends religious and recreational moments, in a formula that has accompanied the summer in the area for over forty years.

Reaching its 45th edition in 2026, the Sagra del Patrono testifies to the strong bond between the community of San Pietro in Cariano and its identity. In a territory made famous worldwide by Amarone and Recioto, the patronal festival preserves the genuine spirit of Veronese tradition, made of conviviality, gastronomy, and community spirit.
