The Sagra di San Marco is the festival of the hamlet of Valgatara, in Marano di Valpolicella, a municipality in the province of Verona in the heart of Valpolicella Classica. Dedicated to St. Mark, it is the village festival: several days of community gathering with good food, music, and fun, hosted at the sports facility in Via Appenheim.
Gastronomy and concerts
The program alternates a rich food stall with traditional Veronese and Valpolicellese dishes with evenings of music and concerts. Among the most anticipated events is FestivalpoRock, the evening dedicated to live music that brings bands and groups to Valgatara in a festive atmosphere.
An early summer event
Held in June, the Sagra di San Marco is one of the events that open the summer festival season in Valpolicella. Organized by the festival committee in collaboration with the Pro Loco of Marano di Valpolicella, it combines tradition, taste, and music in a formula that attracts the residents of the hamlet and visitors from the valley.

The 2026 edition of the Sagra di San Marco is expected in June at the sports facility in Via Appenheim, in Valgatara, Marano di Valpolicella. How to get there
Valgatara is a hamlet of Marano di Valpolicella, in the province of Verona. By car from the A22 (Verona Nord exit) or the A4 (Verona Sud exit), follow signs for Valpolicella and Valgatara. The festival takes place at the sports facility in Via Appenheim.
Times and admission
Free admission. Food stall open in the evening and, on holidays, also at lunchtime.
