Ferroluglio in Vasto Marina

Ferroluglio is one of the most beloved summer festivals in Vasto Marina, the seaside district of the town of Vasto, in the province of Chieti, along the picturesque Trabocchi Coast in Abruzzo. Every year, in mid-July, Lungomare Cordella comes alive for two consecutive nights of music, entertainment, and fun, turning the Riviera into a grand open-air stage overlooking the Adriatic Sea.

Two nights of celebration on the seafront

The event offers a program designed for all ages, alternating between live music, DJ sets, and entertainment. The festivities begin late in the evening and continue late into the night, drawing residents and tourists who flock to the seafront during the peak season. The atmosphere is that of a classic summer night on the Abruzzo coast, filled with market stalls, seaside bars, and thousands of people dancing and singing under the stars.

Fireworks over the sea

The most anticipated moment of Ferroluglio is the traditional fireworks display that, at midnight on the final night, illuminates the sky and the sea of Vasto Marina. The fireworks launched over the Adriatic offer a spectacular backdrop, beloved by the crowds gathering along the beach and the promenade to watch the show.

A local event

Ferroluglio is organized by the Consorzio Vivere Vasto Marina, which brings together local tourism operators, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Municipality of Vasto. The initiative is part of the city's rich summer calendar and helps promote the tourist appeal of Vasto Marina, one of the most popular seaside destinations in the province of Chieti and the entire Abruzzo coastline.
