The Assunta Festival in Frascarolo

The Assunta Festival is the patronal feast of the Municipality of Frascarolo, in the province of Pavia, in the heart of Lomellina. It is one of the oldest celebrations in the town, linked to the Assumption of Mary feast day, which falls on August 15th. The festival takes place on the third weekend of August and is the most cherished summer event for the Frascarolese community.

Three Evenings of Celebration

The event features three evenings of musical entertainment, each preceded by a dinner with dishes from the local gastronomy. The municipal celebration area in Via Fleming becomes the focal point of the festivities, welcoming residents and visitors from neighboring towns in a convivial and cheerful atmosphere. The typical Lomellina cuisine, rich in the flavors of the traditional Po Valley farming heritage, is one of the main attractions of the event.

The Pro Loco Frascarolese

The festival is organized by the Pro Loco Frascarolese in collaboration with the Municipality of Frascarolo. The commitment of the association and its volunteers helps to keep alive an ancient tradition, which combines the religious dimension of the Assumption feast with the popular and convivial aspects, in the spirit of the patronal festivals of the Po Valley plain.
