Fans Out, the "village festival" of Monferrato
Every summer, the small village of Vaglio Serra, a municipality in the province of Asti nestled in the Monferrato hills, transforms into a widespread stage thanks to Fans Out - Village Festival. Organized by the Fans Out Cultural Association, the event was born in 2015 with the vision of bringing great music, art, food, and wine to the Piedmont region, encouraging young people to experience and revitalize a small hillside town.
Over the years, it has grown into a festival that many affectionately call the "Woodstock of Monferrato": an event that blends tradition with modernity, popular sounds with musical research, and a special focus on the independent and international scene.
An eclectic and international line-up
The hallmark of Fans Out is its musical programming, which alternates emerging Italian artists with bands and projects from all over the world each year. Past editions have featured musicians and groups from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Netherlands, Japan, Syria, and Uganda—often making their Italian debut—alongside winners of prestigious Italian indie awards like the Rock Contest and the Buscaglione Prize.
Concerts take place on scattered stages distributed throughout the historic center: from the main stage in the heart of the town to the Giardino dei Tassi, from the terrace between the two churches to the evocative spaces of the Castle, creating a path that allows visitors to discover every corner of the village.
More than just music
Fans Out remains true to the spirit of a "village festival": beyond the concerts, the event offers a food and wine area featuring traditional dishes and Monferrato wines (with a historic partnership with local wineries), an artisan market, workshops, street entertainment, and moments dedicated to social and environmental issues. In recent years, a campsite has also been introduced for those wishing to stay for multiple days.
A sustainable festival
The organization places great emphasis on environmental sustainability: shuttle services to reduce traffic in the village, the use of biodegradable materials, and a philosophy of local valorization are integral parts of the festival's identity.

For 2026, the Fans Out - Village Festival returns to Vaglio Serra, in the heart of the Monferrato in the province of Asti, with the date set for June 6, 2026. The date has been indicated by official local tourism promotion sources.
As in previous editions, the event promises an independent music program featuring Italian and international artists on stages scattered throughout the village, accompanied by a food and wine area with Monferrato wines, an artisan market, and entertainment. Getting there
Vaglio Serra is located in the province of Asti, in the Monferrato region, a few kilometers from Nizza Monferrato. By car, it can be reached via the A33 Asti-Cuneo motorway (Nizza Monferrato exit) or the A21 Turin-Piacenza motorway. The most convenient train station is Nizza Monferrato, on the Asti-Acqui Terme line.
Parking and shuttles
As it is a small hillside village, the festival organizes a shuttle service from external parking areas to limit traffic in the historic center. It is recommended to follow the organization's signs.
Tickets
Access methods vary from year to year: some days may be free, while others require tickets that can be purchased at the entrance or via ticketing platforms (in the past, the Dice platform has been used). It is recommended to check the festival's official channels.
