Three days of European flavors and crafts in the center of Foligno
The European Market transforms the historic center of Foligno, in the province of Perugia, into an international showcase of gastronomy and crafts for three days. Dozens of exhibitors from various European countries liven up the city's streets and squares with the flavors and typical products of their respective traditions.
Among the specialties found at the stalls: Spanish paella, Breton cuisine and biscuits, Scottish crafts, the famous Portuguese pasteis de nata, Irish Angus beef, Mexican and Indian specialties, Sicilian pistachio products, and artisanal Italian pasta. A mix that blends gastronomy (about 40%), artisanal products (40%), and street food (20%), with the majority of exhibitors being international.
The market is spread across Piazza della Repubblica, Largo Carducci, and Via Umberto I, with continuous hours. The event is organized by FIVA (Italian Federation of Traveling Salespeople) in collaboration with Confcommercio Umbria and with the patronage of the Municipality of Foligno. For the three days, the shops in the center also remain open, further enlivening city shopping.
The 2026 edition of the European Market took place in Foligno from March 20 to 22, with about 60-70 exhibitors spread across Piazza della Repubblica, Largo Carducci, and Via Umberto I. The offerings combined gastronomy, street food, and crafts from all over Europe.
Among the highlights: Breton cuisine and biscuits, Scottish crafts, Portuguese pasteis de nata (a true star of the edition), Spanish paella, Irish Angus beef, as well as Mexican, Indian, and Sicilian specialties. The setup was partially adapted due to the concurrent referendum voting on Sunday, March 22. For the three days, the shops in the center also remained open. Organized by FIVA with Confcommercio Umbria and the patronage of the Municipality.
Continuous hours 10:00 am - 11:00 pm.
