Craft beer, street food, and live music in the village of Pianiano
The Etruria Beer Fest is a craft beer festival that transforms the small medieval village of Pianiano—a hamlet of Cellere in the province of Viterbo, Lazio—every summer. Nestled in the hills of Alta Tuscia, the event draws enthusiasts and curious visitors for two evenings of flavor, conviviality, and local discovery.
The festival highlights the creations of the best craft breweries in Central Italy, featuring a curated selection of labels to be enjoyed amidst the village's stone alleys. Alongside the taps, there are talks and in-depth discussions dedicated to the world of craft beer and local production, showcasing the work of master brewers and the growing brewing culture in the Tuscia region.
The culinary side is managed by a stand offering a selection of local specialties designed to pair perfectly with the beer tastings. Traditional dishes, prepared by the Pro Loco of Cellere, allow visitors to pair craft beer with the products and recipes of the Alta Tuscia farming tradition, creating a gastronomic journey that celebrates the excellence of the municipality.
Each evening is enlivened by live music, with concerts and bands accompanying the public through the village streets until late. The intimate atmosphere of Pianiano, with its stone houses and views over the Viterbo hinterland, provides a charming backdrop that blends celebration, tradition, and landscape.
Beyond the beer and music, the Etruria Beer Fest is an opportunity to rediscover Pianiano and the historical and landscape heritage of Cellere, an authentic corner of Tuscia far from mass tourism circuits. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Cellere in collaboration with the Pro Loco and the Summer is Coming craft beer bar, has established itself in just a few editions as a highly anticipated date on the summer calendar of the Viterbo Alta Tuscia.
