Etnica arrives in San Godenzo

The village of San Godenzo, nestled in the province of Florence, hosts the final night of Etnica - Mugello Global Groove, a festival of world music and culture that has been bringing the Mugello region to life for nearly thirty years. The 28th edition runs from June 11 to 27, 2026, across Vicchio, Borgo San Lorenzo, Barberino di Mugello, and—for the first time in this expanded format—San Godenzo, which hosts the closing party on Saturday, June 27, in Piazza Dante.

The Mugello Global Groove concept

Etnica was born from the idea of bringing great folk and world music into the real, lived-in spaces of the territory: squares, alleys, and historic centers become stages for a crossroads of sounds, rhythms, and cultures from every corner of the globe. Alongside the concerts, the festival features exhibitions, theatrical performances, talks, DJ sets, an ethnic market, and international street food, creating a widespread festive atmosphere that involves the entire Mugello community.

The San Godenzo evening

The San Godenzo stage is the grand finale of the 2026 edition. The program in Piazza Dante includes:

• 7:00 PM - Opening of international street food stalls
• 7:30 PM - Paolo DJ set
• 9:30 PM - Concert by SuRealistas

A convivial and popular conclusion, held outdoors with free admission, designed to bring residents and visitors together in one of the most charming squares in the upper Mugello.

The artists of the 2026 edition

The overall 2026 Etnica lineup features international names: the June 11 preview in Borgo San Lorenzo with the Baro Drom Orkestar, followed by the heart of the festival in Vicchio with Roy Paci & Aretuska (June 18), Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 (June 19), Shantel & Bucovina Club Soundsystem (June 20), and Nomadi (June 21), in addition to the traveling concert by Amorklab in the historic center of Barberino. The San Godenzo evening with SuRealistas seals this musical journey.
