Estate in Città — Quartieri in Festa

A widespread celebration across the neighbourhoods

Quartieri in Festa is one of the events in the summer programme for Castellanza, a municipality in the Province of Varese in the Alto Milanese region. The idea is simple and original: instead of concentrating the celebration in a single square, it is spread out neighbourhood by neighbourhood, leaving residents to liven up their own streets.

Neighbourhood and social interaction

In the city's various neighbourhoods, residents organise parties, buffets, and aperitifs, opening their courtyards and streets to neighbourhood social life. It is a formula that enhances the sense of community and the pleasure of meeting up with neighbours in an informal and participatory atmosphere. The celebration thus travels throughout the city, enlivening corners that usually remain outside major events.

Part of "Estate in Città"

The initiative is promoted by the Municipality of Castellanza as part of the "Estate in Città" programme, which runs from June 1st to September 27th and brings cultural, musical, film, and sporting events to the city. Quartieri in Festa represents its most popular and local spirit, designed to directly involve the inhabitants.
