Ecomed, the Mediterranean's green showcase

Ecomed – Mediterranean Green Expo is the most important trade fair event in Southern Italy dedicated to environmental sustainability and energy transition. The event takes place at the SiciliaFiera exhibition center in Misterbianco, on the outskirts of Catania, and for over fifteen years has served as a privileged meeting point between the supply and demand of ideas, technologies, and solutions for the ecological transition in the Euro-Mediterranean area.

Four sectors for the future

The exhibition and conference program is organized around four major strategic sectors, oriented towards the 2030 horizon:

• Recycling 2030 – circular economy and integrated waste management;
• Energy 2030 – renewable sources, energy efficiency, and green hydrogen;
• Water 2030 – water resource management and climate resilience;
• Urban Regeneration 2030 – sustainable cities and climate change adaptation.

These themes are complemented by dedicated formats such as the Hydrogen Green Expo, focused on green hydrogen, the Energy Days promoted by the Sicilian Region, a space dedicated to Universities and Research, and a Green Startup area for innovative enterprises.

A B2B and B2G event

Ecomed is a professional trade fair that fosters dialogue between businesses, public bodies, universities, research centers, and sustainable finance. The conference calendar includes dozens of seminars, workshops, and technical roundtables structured around the Days of Environment, Water and Waste, Energy, and Green Jobs. The event attracts exhibitors and operators from Europe, Africa, and Asia, confirming its role as a bridge between the shores of the Mediterranean.

Sicily at the heart of the transition

By hosting Ecomed, the Municipality of Misterbianco and the Sicilian Region highlight the island's role in the environmental and energy policies of Southern Italy.
