The benchmark green expo for the Mediterranean
Ecomed – Mediterranean Green Expo is the most important trade fair in Southern Italy entirely dedicated to the environment, sustainability, and ecological transition. The event is held at SiciliaFiera, the exhibition center in Misterbianco, in the province of Catania, at the foot of Mount Etna and just a few kilometers from the city of Catania. Created to give a voice to businesses and institutions committed to sustainable development, Ecomed has grown over the years into an Euro-Mediterranean event capable of attracting exhibitors and delegations from Europe, Africa, and Asia.
The four major themes: resources, energy, water, and regeneration
The exhibition and conference program revolves around four strategic sectors: resource and waste management with the circular economy, energy and renewable sources, the water cycle and collective irrigation, and urban and territorial regeneration. The sectors represented range from environment and waste to sustainable mobility, eco-architecture, civil and industrial plant engineering, as well as photovoltaics, wind power, and green hydrogen.
Conferences, research, and innovation
The heart of Ecomed is its dense program of specialized conferences and debates, featuring distinguished speakers from the worlds of academia, research, and government. Alongside the exhibition areas, the event hosts consolidated formats such as the Hydrogen Green Expo, dedicated to the green hydrogen supply chain, the Aqua 2030 section on the integrated water cycle, the University and Research Village, and the Green Startup space reserved for young innovative companies.

More than just a commercial fair, Ecomed is a meeting point for academia, businesses, and public administrations. Ecomed — edition 2026
The 18th edition of Ecomed
From April 22 to 24, 2026, the pavilions of SiciliaFiera in Misterbianco hosted the eighteenth edition of Ecomed – Mediterranean Green Expo. The event brought together over 450 companies from Europe, Africa, and Asia, sparking discussions on energy transition, regional strategies, and innovation.
The four strategic sectors
The 2026 program was structured around four strategic sectors for 2030: Recycling 2030, Energy 2030, Aqua 2030, and Urban Regeneration 2030. Key formats were confirmed: the Hydrogen Green Expo dedicated to the green hydrogen supply chain, the Energy Days promoted by the Sicilian Region, the University and Research area, and the Green Startup space.
Over 70 conferences
The heart of the edition was the rich program featuring over 70 conferences and specialized debates, including the Innovation Island panel on the "Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization in the Energy Sector (S3 Sicily)", with the participation of the Regional Councilor for Energy and professors from the University of Catania.

How to get there
By car: The exhibition center is easily accessible from the A19 Palermo-Catania motorway and the Catania ring road, with ample parking available. By plane: Catania-Fontanarossa Airport is just a few kilometers away. By train: Catania Centrale station, then local bus connections to Misterbianco.
Opening hours and admission
The fair is open from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Admission for visitors is free, subject to online registration on the Vivaticket platform.
