About EatStreet Oliveri

EatStreet Oliveri – Sensory Sicily is a gourmet festival that turns the coastal village of Oliveri, in the province of Messina, into a Sicilian village of taste. Along Via Roma, which is closed to traffic, four days of street food, local zero-mile products, wines from local wineries, evening cooking shows with award-winning master pastry chefs and gelato makers, live music, DJ sets, art exhibitions, and guided tours unfold. A free event celebrating the excellence and sensory dimension of the Tyrrhenian side of Sicily.

A village of taste on the Tyrrhenian Sea

EatStreet Oliveri – Sensory Sicily is the gourmet festival that brings the village of Oliveri to life, overlooking the Tyrrhenian coast in the province of Messina, Sicily. For a few days, the central Via Roma, closed to traffic and made entirely pedestrian, becomes the beating heart of a grand celebration dedicated to street food and the island's culinary excellence. Promoted by Eurofiere srl in collaboration with the Municipality of Oliveri, the event attracts an ever-growing crowd to the charming seaside town center every year.

Street food and zero-mile products

The absolute stars are around twenty Sicilian agri-food producers who share their products, processing methods, and company history along Via Roma. The food stands offer street food, artisanal breads and pastries, cured meats, cheeses, extra virgin olive oil, craft beers, and wines from local wineries. Tastings focus on short supply chains and zero-mile products, in a culinary journey designed to showcase the raw materials and authentic flavors of Sicily.

Cooking shows with world champions

Every evening, the event features cooking shows, spectacular moments led by renowned master pastry chefs and gelato makers. Among the most anticipated guests are twins Alessandro and Vincenzo Squatrito, gelato makers from Ritrovo Orchidea awarded as the best in the world, pastry chef Filippo Nici, and world tiramisu champion Milena Russo Testagrossa. Gelato, granita, traditional sweets, and collaborative culinary shows turn the evenings into a narrative of Sicilian confectionery talent.

Art, music, and culture

Beyond the food, the festival offers a rich entertainment program: DJ sets every evening, live music, cabaret shows, dancing, and family entertainment. There is no shortage of cultural events, such as the open-air painting exhibition Colors of Sicily, talks dedicated to sensory Sicily and the Mediterranean diet, and guided tours to discover the village. A complete experience that combines gastronomy, art, entertainment, and local identity.

A growing event

Born as the first stop of the Street Food Sicily on Tour project, the Oliveri event has quickly established itself as one of the reference gourmet appointments on the Tyrrhenian coast of Messina. Attendance and the number of operators grow with each edition, confirming the event's deep roots in the calendar of Sicilian festivals and its ability to promote the Municipality of Oliveri and the excellence of Sicily.

EatStreet Oliveri — edition 2026

The second edition of EatStreet Oliveri – Sensory Sicily took place from May 30 to June 2, 2026, along Via Roma in Oliveri, which was closed to traffic. Four days of street food, zero-mile local products, wines from local wineries, and evening cooking shows, with record attendance and an extremely positive outcome.

The second edition of EatStreet Oliveri – Sensory Sicily was held from Saturday, May 30, to Tuesday, June 2, 2026, taking advantage of the long June 2nd weekend.
