The Electric Powerboat World Championship on Lake Como
The E1 Lake Como GP is a round of the UIM E1 World Championship, the world's first championship dedicated to fully electric powerboating. The race takes place on the waters of Lake Como, in front of Cernobbio, in the province of Como, and is presented by Villa d'Este, a symbol of Larian elegance.
The RaceBirds, Electric Boats with Wings
The absolute stars are the RaceBirds, electric boats with foiling technology: thanks to their submerged wings, they lift out of the water and reach speeds close to 100 km/h, in complete silence and with zero emissions. Ten teams compete over the weekend, each with male and female pilots who alternate at the helm according to a parity format.
International Stars and Sustainability
The E1 championship also stands out for its owners: among the team investors are big names in sports and entertainment such as Tom Brady, LeBron James, Rafael Nadal, Didier Drogba, Steve Aoki, and Will Smith. In addition to the sporting spectacle, E1 brings a message of sustainability and innovation to Lake Como, showcasing the future of green boating. The E1 Lake Como GP 2026 is the second round of the UIM E1 World Championship and takes place on April 24 and 25 on Lake Como, in front of Cernobbio. How to get there
The race takes place on Lake Como, in front of Cernobbio, a few kilometers from the center of Como. Como is reachable by train (Como San Giovanni and Como Nord Lago) and by car from the A9 motorway; Cernobbio is a few minutes from the provincial capital.
