Twenty-five years of blues in the Dolomites
The Dolomiti Blues & Soul Festival is the event that for over two decades has brought great African-American music – blues, soul, and gospel – to the villages of the Belluno Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In 2026, the festival reaches its 25th edition, with a widespread programme spanning several towns in Cadore between July and August.

In Valle di Cadore, in the province of Belluno, the festival stops at the Sala Polivalente with a concert by The Sacred Roots: the duo formed by Mauro Ferrarese and Alessandra Cecala, with the harmonica of Andrea Di Giuseppe, explores pre-war folk music, from early blues to gospel, in a journey into the deepest roots of American music.
Music and territory
The festival combines great music with the discovery of the local territory and culture: most of the events are free admission (offerta libera), a formula that brings audiences closer to live music in the unique setting of the Dolomites. The evening's performers are The Sacred Roots: the duo composed of Mauro Ferrarese and Alessandra Cecala, with the addition of Andrea Di Giuseppe on harmonica, offers a journey into pre-war folk music, from early blues to gospel, bringing to life the most authentic roots of African-American music.
