The inaugural concert of the blues and soul festival among the Dolomites, in Piazza Tiziano
The Dolomiti Blues & Soul Festival is one of the most beloved music events in the Belluno Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site. For over a month, from mid-July to the end of August, it brings blues, soul, swing, and funk concerts to the villages of Alto Cadore, transforming squares, churches, and evocative locations into open-air stages. Pieve di Cadore, in the province of Belluno, hosts the festival's inaugural concert.
The Pieve di Cadore stop takes place in Piazza Tiziano, in the heart of the historic centre, named after the great painter Tiziano Vecellio, who was born here. The concert, with a free donation, kicks off the festival in a setting that combines quality music and artistic heritage, in one of the most important villages in Cadore.
The festival is characterized by its itinerant nature: in addition to Pieve di Cadore, the stops include numerous villages in Alto Cadore โ from Valle di Cadore to San Vito di Cadore, from Borca to Cibiana, up to Cortina d'Ampezzo โ featuring Italian and international artists from the blues and soul scene. Most concerts are free entry with a voluntary donation, as part of a project that combines music, tourism, and local area enhancement.
Pieve di Cadore is the historical and cultural centre of Cadore, famous for being the birthplace of Tiziano Vecellio, one of the greatest masters of Venetian painting. Nestled among the Dolomites, with its lake and village, it is the ideal setting to inaugurate a festival celebrating great black music in the mountains of Veneto.
The 2026 edition, the XXV of the Dolomiti Blues & Soul Festival, kicks off on July 18 in Pieve di Cadore. In Piazza Tiziano, at 9:00 PM, the band Fireplaces will perform in a free donation concert that inaugurates the festival. The festival then continues until August 23, visiting numerous villages in Alto Cadore, with Italian and international artists such as Lou Marini & The Italian Groovers and Sarah Jane Morris.
The Pieve di Cadore stop opens the XXV edition of the festival, which continues until August 23 with concerts in other villages of Alto Cadore (Laggio, Nebbiรน, Valle di Cadore, San Vito di Cadore, Cibiana, Zoppรจ, Borca, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Val di Zoldo, Belluno), featuring Italian and international guests like Lou Marini & The Italian Groovers and Sarah Jane Morris.
Pieve di Cadore is reachable by car via the SS51 Alemagna road, between Belluno and Cortina d'Ampezzo. The nearest train station is Calalzo-Pieve di Cadore-Cortina, the terminus of the line from Padua. The closest airport is Venice.
