About DiVino Jazz Trecase

The DiVino Jazz Festival is a traveling event that brings world-class jazz to the towns around Mount Vesuvius every December, with Trecase being one of the most anticipated stops. Hosted at the Cine-Teatro Corelli, the festival features free concerts blending signature music, local Vesuvius wines, and archaeological tours. Conceived and directed by Gigi Di Luca, the festival unites seven municipalities in the province of Naples in a unique journey of sound and flavor during the holiday season.

World-class international jazz at the foot of Mount Vesuvius

The DiVino Jazz Festival is one of the longest-running and most recognizable musical events in the Campania region. Now in its 18th edition as of 2025, this traveling festival takes place in the second half of December across the towns of the Vesuvius area, in the province of Naples. Conceived and directed by Gigi Di Luca, the project weaves together three core elements: signature jazz music, Vesuvius wines, and the archaeological heritage of the area between Pompeii and Herculaneum. The result is an event that extends beyond the stage, inviting the audience to explore the local territory.

Trecase, one of the seven Vesuvius stops

The Municipality of Trecase is one of the seven towns that make up the festival circuit, alongside Pompeii (the lead organizer), Boscoreale, Boscotrecase, Herculaneum, Torre Annunziata, and Torre del Greco. Each evening moves to a different theater, auditorium, or cultural venue, allowing attendees to experience the festival as a true journey through the villages on the slopes of the volcano. In Trecase, the venue is the Cine-Teatro Corelli, a town-center hall returned to the community that has become the cornerstone of the local cultural program.

Music, wine, and archaeology: the "DiVino" formula

The festival's name reflects its dual nature. Alongside evening concerts, the program features a dense network of side events every year, designed to showcase the heroic viticulture and cultural assets of the Vesuvius area:

  • Winery tours and tastings at Vesuvius producers (including Sorrentino, Cantina del Vesuvio, Fuoco Muorto, and Bosco de' Medici)
  • Taste workshops dedicated to local traditional products
  • The Archeojazz section, featuring guided tours of the excavations of Pompeii and Oplonti, the Antiquarium, and Villa Regina
  • Street art performances, storytelling, and local craft exhibitions

The 2025 edition and the Trecase evening

The 18th edition took place from December 18 to 30, 2025, with eight free-admission concerts. The Trecase stop was held on Saturday, December 27 at 8:30 PM at the Teatro Corelli, featuring Javier Girotto and the Aires Tango. The Argentine saxophonist and composer, joined by Alessandro Gwis (piano and electronics), Marco Siniscalco (electric bass), and Francesco de Rubeis (drums and percussion), celebrated the quartet's 30th anniversary by presenting their album "30," the tenth work of his career, released by Parco della Musica Records. It was an evening suspended between tango, Mediterranean jazz, and sound research, perfectly representing the festival's artistic vision.

A free and popular festival

All DiVino Jazz Festival concerts offer free admission until capacity is reached, while side events—tastings, workshops, and guided tours—are also free but require online booking. This approach has made the event a popular fixture in the Vesuvius Christmas calendar, attracting audiences from across Campania and turning the days between Christmas and New Year's into a week of widespread music. The initiative is funded by the Tourism Department of the Campania Region and organized by the Municipality of Pompeii in partnership with the other six municipalities.

Why it's worth attending

For those in the Vesuvius area between Christmas and New Year's, the DiVino Jazz Festival is an opportunity to discover a less touristy side of the region: packed village theaters, wineries on the slopes of the volcano, and archaeological sites visited off-season without the crowds. In Trecase, a small town nestled between the Vesuvius National Park and the Gulf of Naples, the evening at the Corelli is one of the most cherished cultural events of the year, and the free-admission policy makes it accessible to everyone, including families.

DiVino Jazz Trecase — edition 2026

As of the update of this page, the organizers have not yet announced the dates for the next edition of the DiVino Jazz Festival. The festival traditionally takes place in the second half of December, and the Trecase stop is held at the Cine-Teatro Corelli. The program, including guest artists and side events among wineries and archaeological sites, is usually released a few weeks before the start.

The DiVino Jazz Festival has not yet announced the dates for its next edition. As it is a festival that historically focuses on the days between Christmas and New Year's, the announcement usually arrives in late autumn, along with the complete concert calendar for the seven Vesuvius municipalities and the official presentation of the program.

Until then, information from the previous edition remains indicative: evening concerts with free admission, the Trecase stop at the Cine-Teatro Corelli, and a rich calendar of side events including tastings in Vesuvius wineries, taste workshops, and archaeological guided tours. To avoid missing the announcement, it is advisable to follow the festival's official website and social media channels, or the institutional channels of the Municipality of Trecase and the Municipality of Pompeii, the lead entity of the event.

Prices DiVino Jazz Trecase 2026

In previous editions, all DiVino Jazz Festival concerts were free of charge until capacity was reached, with mandatory booking only for side events. The conditions for the next edition will be communicated by the organizers.
