The DiVino Jazz Festival is one of the longest-running and most recognizable musical events in the Campania region. Now in its 18th edition as of 2025, this traveling festival takes place in the second half of December across the towns of the Vesuvius area, in the province of Naples. Conceived and directed by Gigi Di Luca, the project weaves together three core elements: signature jazz music, Vesuvius wines, and the archaeological heritage of the area between Pompeii and Herculaneum. The result is an event that extends beyond the stage, inviting the audience to explore the local territory.

Trecase, one of the seven Vesuvius stops

The Municipality of Trecase is one of the seven towns that make up the festival circuit, alongside Pompeii (the lead organizer), Boscoreale, Boscotrecase, Herculaneum, Torre Annunziata, and Torre del Greco. Each evening moves to a different theater, auditorium, or cultural venue, allowing attendees to experience the festival as a true journey through the villages on the slopes of the volcano. In Trecase, the venue is the Cine-Teatro Corelli, a town-center hall returned to the community that has become the cornerstone of the local cultural program.

The 2025 edition and the Trecase evening

The 18th edition took place from December 18 to 30, 2025, with eight free-admission concerts. The Trecase stop was held on Saturday, December 27 at 8:30 PM at the Teatro Corelli, featuring Javier Girotto and the Aires Tango. The Argentine saxophonist and composer, joined by Alessandro Gwis (piano and electronics), Marco Siniscalco (electric bass), and Francesco de Rubeis (drums and percussion), celebrated the quartet's 30th anniversary by presenting their album "30," the tenth work of his career, released by Parco della Musica Records. It was an evening suspended between tango, Mediterranean jazz, and sound research, perfectly representing the festival's artistic vision.

A free and popular festival

All DiVino Jazz Festival concerts offer free admission until capacity is reached, while side events—tastings, workshops, and guided tours—are also free but require online booking. This approach has made the event a popular fixture in the Vesuvius Christmas calendar, attracting audiences from across Campania and turning the days between Christmas and New Year's into a week of widespread music. The initiative is funded by the Tourism Department of the Campania Region and organized by the Municipality of Pompeii in partnership with the other six municipalities.
