A day of Moldovan music, gastronomy, and traditions in Cesena
The DiasporaFest – International Friendship Festival is a multicultural event that animates the Parco per Fabio in Cesena, in the province of Forlì-Cesena, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna. For an entire day, the park transforms into a meeting point for cultures, communities, and generations, with a program built around the values of friendship, roots, and sharing.
The festival is born under the banner of the unity of the Moldovan diaspora in Italy and is an opportunity to celebrate the richness of the traditions of the Republic of Moldova, in dialogue with the Romanian community and the Cesena area that hosts the event. Folk music, songs, dances, and stories accompany visitors in discovering a living cultural heritage, which the diaspora carries with it and passes down far from its homeland.
The day offers a rich calendar of events open to the entire community:
Admission is free: the festival aims to welcome families, young people, and visitors to a large public celebration that unites those who live far from their country and those who wish to discover a different culture up close. The initiative is organized by the AMIC Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Cesena and the Consulate General of the Republic of Moldova in Milan, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova.
DiasporaFest is much more than an ethnic event: it is an experience that tells how a migrant community keeps its identity alive and relates it to the Italian social fabric. For visitors to Cesena, it is an opportunity to discover flavors, sounds, and stories that enrich the cultural landscape of the city and the entire Romagna region.
