Summer evenings of music, markets, and entertainment under the Pavaglione arcades in Lugo
«Di Giovedì al Pavaglione» is the summer event that transforms Piazza Mazzini, in the heart of the Municipality of Lugo (province of Ravenna, in Emilia-Romagna), into a large open-air lounge every Thursday in August. The event takes place within the Pavaglione, the extraordinary 18th-century quadriportico that encloses the square and is one of the architectural symbols of the Bassa Romagna: under its arches, among shops, bars, and restaurants, a night of music and celebration comes alive each week.
The program for each Thursday follows a tried-and-tested script: it begins in the early evening with the DJ set and entertainment for children, while the live concerts get into full swing starting at 9:45 PM. Bands and different formations take turns on stage, with a repertoire ranging from Italian songs to rock and pop from various generations, designed to engage an audience of all ages. Each evening offers a different atmosphere, but always with an emphasis on dancing, fun, and the desire to be together in the square.
«Di Giovedì al Pavaglione» is not just about music. The evenings are accompanied by artisan and themed markets that fill the arcades and streets around the square, by entertainment and shows for children, and by the enchanting proposal of «Magic under the stars». The bars and restaurants of the Pavaglione remain open for the entire duration of the evenings, offering the opportunity for an outdoor dinner or an aperitif before the concert.
Promoted by Pro Loco Lugo with the support of the Municipality and the local associative fabric, the event is now an anticipated fixture of Lugo's summer. Admission is free and the atmosphere is that of the village festivals that liven up Emilia-Romagna in the warm months: families, young people, and tourists gather under the Pavaglione to enjoy the last summer evenings with music, markets, and conviviality. An authentic way to discover Lugo, the birthplace of aviation ace Francesco Baracca, and the understated charm of the Romagna plain.
The «Di Giovedì al Pavaglione» event returns in the summer of 2026 under the arcades of Lugo's Pavaglione, in Piazza Mazzini. The dates confirmed by Pro Loco Lugo are Thursdays August 6, 13, 20, and 27, 2026, with the possibility of an additional evening in September.
The formula from previous editions remains confirmed: DJ set and entertainment for children to open, live concerts from 9:45 PM, artisan and themed markets, shows for the little ones, and «Magic under the stars», with food stalls open all evening. Admission is free.
The names of the bands and the complete concert schedule for the 2026 edition will be communicated by Pro Loco Lugo on their official channels in the weeks preceding the event. It is recommended to follow the event's social media pages for updates.
