A trail of music and words along the Via degli Dei
Dei Suoni I Passi is a truly unique traveling festival in the Tuscan landscape: rather than being confined to a single square, it follows the Via degli Dei step by stepโthe ancient 120-kilometer path connecting Bologna and Florence through the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Amidst centuries-old beech and chestnut forests and along the Roman slabs of the ancient Flaminia Militare, the festival hosts concerts, meetings, and performances designed to be experienced at a slower pace, the pace of a hiker. Organized by the Fondazione Fabbrica Europa, the event invites you to rediscover places and landscapes through the power of music.
Among the stops on the route, the town of Firenzuola, in the Province of Florence and the Tuscany region, holds a special place. Nestled in the Santerno Valley in the Apennines on the border with Emilia-Romagna, Firenzuola welcomes the festival in a highly evocative setting. For the 2026 edition, the event was scheduled for Sunday, June 14 at 6:00 PM at the Pieve di San Giovanni Battista Decollato in Cornacchiaia, a historic site immersed in nature.
The 2026 Firenzuola concert, titled "Sunset Party", was a musical jam session weaving together the sounds of nature, electronics, and contemporary beats. The stage featured Mattia Galeotti, Nazareno Caputo, Marco Dalmasso, and Charles Ferris, with special guests Riccardo Onori on guitar and Francesco Cangi on trombone. An open dialogue between acoustic and electronic sounds, perfect for accompanying the fading light of the Apennine sunset.
The Firenzuola stage was part of the festival's seventh edition, which took place from June 3 to 21, 2026, visiting not only Firenzuola but also Bologna, Castiglione dei Pepoli, Marradi, Scarperia e San Piero, Fiesole, and Florence. Notable performers throughout the festival included Peppe Voltarelli, Monica Demuru, Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi, and Naomi Berrill. The artistic direction is led by Maurizio Busia, and the festival is supported by the Tuscany Region, the Metropolitan City of Florence, and the municipalities along the route.
