The electronic music and digital arts festival of Foligno
Born in 2006, Dancity Festival has grown to become a benchmark for experimental electronic music in Italy. Held in Foligno, a city in the Province of Perugia at the geographical center of Umbria, it has made the fusion of avant-garde sound, visual arts, and heritage sites its distinctive feature.
The festival transforms some of the city's most beautiful venues into spaces for sophisticated clubbing and listening: the Auditorium San Domenico, a deconsecrated church now serving as the city auditorium, and Palazzo Candiotti host concerts, audiovisual live sets, and DJ sets, while the Dancity Nights liven up Foligno's nightlife. Over the years, the program has also extended to the surrounding area, with events in wineries and villages of central Umbria.
Some of the most important names in global techno, ambient, and electronic experimentation have graced the Dancity stage, often with Italian premieres and exclusive performances. The festival has built a loyal audience and a reputation that extends beyond regional borders, making Foligno an anticipated stop on the European club culture calendar.
The twentieth anniversary of Dancity Festival, scheduled for June 19-21, 2026, is also a farewell: the organizers have announced that 'The Last Dancity' will be the last edition of the event, explaining that there are no long-term sustainable financial guarantees for such an ambitious project. Therefore, the lineup has been designed as a grand gift to the audience, featuring Italian and world premieres.
Concerts will take place at the Auditorium San Domenico and Palazzo Candiotti in Foligno, while the closing day moves to Montefalco. The full pass for the three days costs 50 euros.
Also featured are Donato Dozzy, Alessandro Cortini, and Valentina Magaletti & Ben Vince. Full program and tickets on the official website.
Foligno is reachable by train (station on the Rome-Ancona line and a hub for the Ferrovia Centrale Umbra) and by car via the SS3 Flaminia. The nearest airports are Perugia San Francesco d'Assisi and Rome.
Full passes and single-day tickets are available online through DICE, Xceed, and Resident Advisor, as well as on the festival's official website.
