On the seafront of Loano, one of the most spectacular festivals of the summer takes place: the Crostolo Festival. The stars are the crostoli, the traditional sweet fried dough, and the fugassin, the Ligurian fried focaccias, prepared in a gigantic pan over two meters wide. Three evenings of taste, the aroma of frying, and celebration by the sea, in the heart of the Riviera di Ponente.

The Crostolo Festival is a traditional gastronomic feast in Loano, on the Riviera Ligure di Ponente, in the province of Savona. It celebrates crostoli — typical sweet fried dough — and fugassin, the Ligurian fried focaccias, symbols of the region's humble yet delicious cuisine.
