A summer of classical music in Cremona

The Cremona Summer Festival is the summer classical music review that enlivens Cremona, in Lombardy, with a long calendar of concerts held between the end of June and the beginning of autumn. Promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Cremona-Mantua-Pavia in collaboration with the Cremona International Music Academy and the "Claudio Monteverdi" Institute of Musical Studies, the festival is closely linked to the advanced training activities that bring young musicians from all over the world to the city every summer.

The heart of the event is the international orchestras, often youth and academic ensembles, from different continents. Over the years, ensembles from Europe, Asia, and America have performed, in a journey that values both the great symphonic repertoires and the training of new generations of instrumentalists. The concerts are held at the Ponchielli Theatre and in other historic venues in the city, from the courtyards of palaces to the Auditorium of the Violin Museum.
