The jazz of Alta Umbria between the cloisters of Gubbio and Villa Anita Park in Sigillo
The Correnti Jazz Festival is one of Umbria's most interesting jazz festivals, created to showcase Alta Umbria through great music. It takes place between Gubbio, in the province of Perugia, and the nearby municipality of Sigillo, choosing some of the most evocative locations in the area as its stages: the historic cloisters in the centre of Gubbio and the Parco di Villa Anita in Sigillo.
The festival is not just a series of concerts: each edition links performances to new recording projects and complements the live program with a rich training path. Among the flagship initiatives is the Jazz Writing Camp, a course in writing and orchestration for big bands that culminates in a concert with the No Borders Orchestra and notable guests. Masterclasses, jam sessions, theatre workshops, and film screenings complete the lineup.
In just a few years, the Correnti Jazz Festival has built a recognizable identity, hosting major names in Italian and international jazz and providing a platform for young talents and new record releases. The distributed format between Gubbio and Sigillo allows visitors to discover Alta Umbria through music, combining artistic excellence with the beauty of the places.
The 2026 edition of the Correnti Jazz Festival takes place from July 17 to August 19, confirming the distributed format between Gubbio and Sigillo, in the province of Perugia. The main venues remain the historic Cloister of San Domenico and the cloisters in the centre of Gubbio, along with the Parco di Villa Anita in Sigillo. The festival hosts major names in Italian and international jazz and complements the concerts with a program of masterclasses, jam sessions, theatre workshops, and film screenings. The Jazz Writing Camp 2026, a training course dedicated to composition and orchestration for big bands, is also confirmed.
