A chamber music festival in the heart of Salento

ClassicheFORME is the international chamber music festival founded and directed by pianist Beatrice Rana, one of the most acclaimed Italian performers on the global stage. Established in 2017 by the Associazione Musicale Opera Prima, the festival transforms Salento into a vast, widespread stage each summer, bringing renowned soloists and chamber ensembles to historic churches, Baroque palaces, cloisters, and traditional masserie across the province of Lecce.

Among the locations that define the festival's geography, the Municipality of Supersano hosts one of the most anticipated events, set at Masseria Le Stanzie, one of the oldest farmhouses in Salento. Surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, and underground oil mills carved into the rock, with its courtyards, pergolas, and famous "hanging tomatoes," the masseria offers a unique setting where great music engages with Salento's rural heritage and the landscape of the lower Lecce province.

A signature artistic project

Each edition of ClassicheFORME is built around a theme that weaves musical programs together: from the great masterpieces of the chamber repertoire to world premieres of new commissions entrusted to contemporary composers. The festival thus unites tradition and research, while enhancing the artistic and landscape heritage of Puglia and Salento.

Beatrice Rana and the Opera Prima Association

A native of Salento, Beatrice Rana wanted to "give back to her land" what she had received, inviting friends and colleagues she met on stages around the world to Puglia. The festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Puglia Region, and numerous local partners, and complements its musical programming with an environmental commitment through the planting of trees for the "Oasi ClassicheFORME".
