The great bike fair in Cesenatico, on the eve of the Nove Colli
Every spring, on the eve of the legendary Nove Colli Granfondo, the center of Cesenatico (Province of Forlì-Cesena, Emilia-Romagna) transforms into an immense village dedicated to two wheels. Cicloevento – International Cycling Fair is one of the most anticipated sector events in Italy: an open-air event, completely free, which for almost thirty years has attracted enthusiasts, amateur cyclists, and operators from all over Europe.
The fair occupies the heart of the city, from Piazza Andrea Costa to the central stretch of Viale Carducci and the first part of Viale Roma, over an area of more than 20,000 square meters. Dozens of national and international companies present bicycles, components, helmets, glasses, saddles, technical clothing, sports supplements, and the latest technological solutions for cycling. It's an opportunity to see the latest products from major brands up close, test the newest models, and interact with industry leaders.
Cicloevento is inextricably linked to the Nove Colli International Granfondo, the historic amateur cycling race that starts from Cesenatico and crosses the hills of the Romagna hinterland. During the fair days, the "race village" is held, with the delivery of race packages to thousands of participants arriving from dozens of nations, transforming the seaside town into a European capital of cycle tourism.
In addition to the stands, Cicloevento offers a rich entertainment program: live music, fun and educational activities for children with the "BicicletTiAmo" space, mechanical checks, and many free initiatives. An event designed not only for specialists but also for families and those who want to discover the world of cycling in a festive atmosphere, with the Adriatic Sea as a backdrop.
Born in 1996, the fair has grown edition after edition to become a benchmark for Italian and European cycle tourism, attracting tens of thousands of visitors each year. For the Municipality of Cesenatico and for all of Romagna, it is an identity event, capable of uniting sporting passion, technological innovation, and tourist hospitality.
The 2026 edition of Cicloevento marked a special milestone: the fair's 30th anniversary, which began in 1996. The event took place on Friday, May 22, and Saturday, May 23, 2026, in the center of Cesenatico, covering an area of over 20,000 square meters between Piazza Andrea Costa, Viale Carducci, and Viale Roma. Fifty exhibiting companies, representing the leading cycling brands, presented bicycles, accessories, components, technical clothing, and supplements, while over 20,000 people thronged the village over the two days preceding the Nove Colli Granfondo.
The event served as a prelude to the Nove Colli International Granfondo, scheduled for Sunday with departure from Cesenatico.
By train: Cesenatico station is on the Ferrara-Rimini line, a few minutes' walk from the exhibition center. By car: take the Cesena exit from the A14 motorway, then the E45 highway and follow signs for Cesenatico. By plane: Rimini-Miramare Airport and Forlì Airport are the closest; Bologna Airport is about an hour away.
Admission is completely free. The fair takes place in Piazza Andrea Costa and along Viale Carducci, opening on Friday from morning until late evening and on Saturday from morning to evening.
