Champagne from independent vignerons at the Tettuccio Thermal Baths in Montecatini
The Champagne per tutti Festival is the annual spring event that brings the finest Champagne from small-scale producers to Montecatini-Terme, in the province of Pistoia. The setting is the monumental Tettuccio Thermal Baths, the Art Nouveau landmark of this Tuscan spa town, which comes alive for a weekend in April with tasting tables, crystal flutes, and the effervescent charm of fine Champagne.
The heart of the festival lies in the vignerons indépendants: over twenty artisanal producers from the Champagne region, united under the Federation of Independent Vignerons, present their creations in person. Visitors can explore around sixty exceptional cuvées, often produced in limited quantities and difficult to source in Italian wine shops. The opportunity to speak directly with those who cultivate the vines and craft the wine is the unique value that sets this event apart from a standard commercial tasting.
The program goes beyond free-roaming tastings. AIS (Italian Sommelier Association) sommeliers lead free masterclasses to deepen knowledge of Champagne, covering everything from vinification techniques to label interpretation. The event also features gourmet food stalls with pairings designed to enhance the bubbles, as well as cultural highlights, such as an exploration of the history of French glassware. The elegant atmosphere of the thermal baths is further enhanced by live music and dance performances titled "Note su Tela," curated by the Ad Arte Association.
Organized by the Champagne per Tutti Recreational and Cultural Association, the festival benefits from long-standing collaborations with institutions such as the Alliance Française of Valdinievole, the Institut Français, and the sommelier community. It is an event that celebrates the food and wine friendship between Italy and France, finding its ideal home in Montecatini-Terme, Tuscany's premier resort town.
The eighth edition of the Champagne per tutti Festival brought the Tettuccio Thermal Baths in Montecatini-Terme to life on April 25 and 26, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The event was a great success with the public, confirming its status as one of the key food and wine events of the Tuscan spring.
The stars of the show were over twenty independent vignerons from the Champagne region, showcasing around sixty cuvées from small artisanal producers, many of which are hard to find on the Italian market. AIS sommeliers guided visitors through tastings at the tables and free masterclasses, while the "Note su Tela" performances by the Ad Arte Association enriched the atmosphere with live music and dance.
The event took place over two days with the same afternoon-evening schedule.
The Tettuccio Thermal Baths are located on Viale Verdi in Montecatini-Terme. By train, the Montecatini Terme-Monsummano station is just a few minutes' walk away; the city is well-connected to the Florence-Lucca-Viareggio line. By car, take the Montecatini Terme exit on the A11 Firenze-Mare motorway.
The entry ticket includes six tastings, a flute, and a flute holder. Early bird rates are available for online purchases, with discounts for members of AIS, FISAR, and Alliance Française. Tickets can be purchased online via the official website or at the entrance.
The event runs in the afternoon and evening (3:00 PM – 10:00 PM). Montecatini-Terme offers numerous accommodation options; booking in advance for the festival weekend is highly recommended.
