It's the classic event that, at the start of summer, draws thousands of visitors to the small Umbrian town each year.

The heart of the festival are the food stalls, where you can taste the best cherries—from bigarreaux to duroni, from anella to ferrovia—along with typical dishes and products from the Upper Tiber Valley. Cerbara in Festa — edition 2026
From May 27 to June 2, 2026, Cerbara, a hamlet of Città di Castello, hosts the new edition of Cerbara in Festa, the festival dedicated to the cherry. For a week, the village center comes alive with food stalls, tastings of the most delicious cherry varieties, typical dishes and local products, local crafts, music, and dancing. There will also be side events including sports, card tournaments, running races, and cycling exhibitions. The organization is handled by the Pro Loco of Cerbara.

Cerbara is located along the E45 highway, a few kilometers from the center of Città di Castello (Città di Castello exit). By train, the reference station is Città di Castello on the Ferrovia Centrale Umbra (Central Umbrian Railway).
