Centonara Swing

The night that makes Ozzano dance

Centonara Swing is the musical heart of the Festa della Centonara, the large summer fair that enlivens the center of Ozzano dell'Emilia, a municipality in the metropolitan city of Bologna, in Emilia-Romagna, every second weekend of July. Along Viale 2 Giugno, transformed for the occasion into a spacious open-air dance floor, live orchestras, DJs, and dancers alternate for two evenings dedicated to swing, rock'n'roll, and the vintage atmosphere of the 1950s and 60s.

Music, dancing, and vintage atmosphere

The format combines the tradition of the Romagna and Emilia village festival with a passion for revival: bands specializing in swing and rock'n'roll perform live, while DJs warm up the dance floor during breaks between sets. Lindy hop and boogie enthusiasts move around the stage, but the dance floor is open to everyone, because Centonara is, first and foremost, a popular and participatory festival.

Not just music

The swing night is part of the broader program of the Festa della Centonara, which includes:

• Street food and gastronomic stands with local specialties from the Bologna area;
• Artisan and creative markets along the village streets;
• Exhibitions of car tuning and vintage cars;
• Amusement park and entertainment for families and children.

A fair with ancient roots

Centonara has its origins in an ancient market fair in the Ozzano area, historically linked to trade and livestock, and is still one of the most cherished summer events in the municipality today. The Pro Loco of Ozzano dell'Emilia APS organizes it every year, transforming it into a large, widespread event, with the Centonara Swing night as the highlight for those who love live music and dancing.
