Valeggio's cuisine under the stars

The Valeggio Gusto Gala Dinner is the most anticipated moment of the gastronomic review that Valeggio sul Mincio, in the province of Verona, dedicates to its own cuisine. It takes place outdoors in Piazza Garibaldi, where the town's restaurateurs set up a large table to tell, dish after dish, the gastronomic identity of the Mincio territory.

The Nodo d'Amore and the new Tortello al Custoza

The absolute star is the Nodo d'Amore, the tortellino with a very thin pastry that is the symbol of Valeggio, linked to the legend of the nymph Silvia and the captain Malco. The dinner is also an opportunity for new creations: among these, the Tortello al Custoza, a new proposal with a creamy and delicate consistency, enhanced by the classic melted butter dressing, born from the collaboration between the Restaurateurs Association, the Custoza Wine Protection Consortium, and the Association of Artisan Pastry Makers of Valeggio.

The gala dinner menu enhances the products of the Mincio and the flavors of local tradition, up to the town's symbolic dessert, the Torta delle Rose. Here, cuisine becomes a language to tell stories of flavors, preserve a heritage, and reinterpret it in a contemporary key, with elegance and measure.

The event is organized by the Valeggio Restaurateurs Association, which brings together the town's restaurants and each year transforms Valeggio Gusto into a showcase of the best cuisine in the Veronese territory.
