A Celtic village on the shores of Lake Idro
The Celtic Days are one of the most evocative events of the summer on Lake Idro, in the province of Brescia. The Parco Idrogym, in the hamlet of Crone in the Municipality of Idro, transforms for four days into an authentic Celtic village, dedicated to the historical re-enactment of Northern European peoples. A dive into the past that combines historical accuracy and spectacle, capable of captivating adults and children.
The heart of the event is the historical re-enactments, curated by volunteers from the Confraternita del Leone: about a hundred participants take turns offering visitors an immersive experience, with encampments, ancient crafts, battles, and conferences. The highlight is the Battle of the Lake, the spectacular clash between local Celtic tribes and the legions of the Roman Empire, which concludes the event.
Every evening, the festival features concerts and shows with prominent guests from the folk and Celtic music scene. The market area offers unique artisanal products, while the food stalls serve dishes and drinks inspired by Celtic traditions, for an authentic journey through flavors as well. The atmosphere, amidst music, bonfires, and re-enactments, recreates the charm of a distant world.
For Idro and the entire Valle Sabbia, the Celtic Days represent an identity event that enhances the lake and its hinterland. Free admission makes it a popular and accessible event, capable of attracting visitors from all over the province of Brescia and beyond, united by a passion for history, music, and Celtic traditions.
For summer 2026, the Celtic Days festival confirms its date at the Parco Idrogym in Crone, on Lake Idro. The event, organized by the Confraternita del Leone, maintains its proven structure over four days in July, featuring historical encampments, re-enactments, evening concerts, a market area, and Celtic-themed food stalls. The exact dates and the musical program for the 2026 edition will be published by the organizers on the official website and social media channels in the weeks preceding the event.
