The grand floral and nursery market at the foot of the Rocca
When spring arrives, the village of Cavour, nestled at the foot of its famous Rocca in the Province of Turin, dresses up to host Cavour in Fiore, a floral and nursery market that has become a benchmark event for garden lovers across Piedmont and beyond. The streets and squares of the historic center fill with colors and scents thanks to the presence of over one hundred exhibitorsโnurserymen, floriculturists, herbalists, and artisansโhailing from various regions of Italy, from Sicily to Sardinia.
Organized by the Cavour in Fiore Association with the collaboration of the Municipality of Cavour and the patronage of the Metropolitan City of Turin, the event is much more than just a plant market. It is an opportunity to discover the village, its churches, its archaeological heritage, and its popular traditions. The backdrop of the Rocca, a natural monument and symbol of the town, makes the event even more evocative, attracting thousands of visitors every year who seek a moment of serenity among flowers and nature.
With free admission and a rich program of side events, Cavour in Fiore is the ideal destination for a spring family outing. Between a stroll through the stands, a cultural visit, and a floral arrangement class, a day in Cavour offers the authentic atmosphere of a Piedmontese village that opens its doors to visitors with generosity.
The 24th edition of Cavour in Fiore confirmed the event's winning formula, with over a hundred exhibitors from all over Italy spread across the squares and streets of Cavour's historic center. Highlights included the Saturday afternoon inauguration in Piazza Sforzini, free floral arrangement courses, watercolor workshops, the Cavour in piume small animal exhibition, guided tours, and numerous activities dedicated to families. Admission was free throughout the event.
Cavour is located in the plains of the Pinerolo area, in the Province of Turin. By car, it can be reached from Pinerolo and Saluzzo via provincial roads; parking is available near the center. During the event, a free roaming tourist train connects the different areas of the town.
Admission to the market is free. Floral arrangement courses, watercolor workshops, the tourist train, and access to the Archaeological Museum at the Abbey of Santa Maria are also free.
