The great Castelliri summer: a blend of flavor, sport, tradition, and live music
The Castelliri Summer Festival is the highlight of the summer in Castelliri, a small town in the Ciociaria region, in the province of Frosinone, southern Lazio. Promoted by the Associazione Ciociaria For, the festival has grown over time to become a benchmark for the entire Liri Valley area. In 2026, it reaches its 21st edition, spread over several weeks and various locations in the town, from the historic center to the large Enrico Macci Event Park.
The strength of the festival lies in its multidisciplinary approach: not just a single evening, but a journey from July 25th to September 5th, 2026, alternating food and wine, sports, folklore, and concerts. It kicks off with Le Strade del Gusto (July 25th) in Piazza Principe di Piemonte, a culinary itinerary featuring typical Ciociaria products, street performers, and live music. It continues with the Sports White Night (July 31st) at the Enrico Macci Event Park, dedicated to local sports activities and community associations.
The musical heart of the event ignites on the first weekend of August at the Enrico Macci Event Park. On August 1st, the Orchestra Popolare del Saltarello takes the stage, bringing the traditional sounds of Lazio and the Apennines, followed by the La Signora Gilda Summer Tour 2026 show. On August 2nd, it is time for the guest of honor: Roman singer-songwriter Fabrizio Moro, performing his Non Ho Paura Di Niente – Live 2026 tour for an evening of rock energy and his most beloved songs.
The festival concludes on September 5th with Castelliri in Cantina, an event spread throughout the village's historic center: wine and local food tastings, entertainment, shows, and a craft market among the town's alleys. It is the moment when the community comes together to celebrate the food and wine excellence of Ciociaria in a convivial atmosphere.
Beyond the entertainment, the Castelliri Summer Festival is an expression of the community's identity: the 21st edition is dedicated to the memory of Luciano D'Orazio, one of the event's founders. The initiative is supported by the Lazio Region, the Province of Frosinone, and ARSIAL, and actively involves the municipal administration and local associations. The result is a festival that combines hospitality, tradition, and artistic quality, capable of attracting audiences from across the entire valley.
The 2026 edition, the 21st, is promoted by the Associazione Ciociaria For and was presented at a press conference on July 4th, 2026. The event is dedicated to the memory of Luciano D'Orazio, one of the festival's founders, and is supported by the Lazio Region, the Province of Frosinone, and ARSIAL.
