Broccostella Fair is the most anticipated event of the year for the community of Broccostella, a small town in the province of Frosinone nestled along the Fibreno river, at the gateway to the Val di Comino and the Ciociaria region. Every September, the fair transforms the town center into a vibrant meeting place, where the traditional morning market gives way to evening performances in the square. It is a day of celebration that blends commerce, tradition, and conviviality, attracting visitors from all the surrounding towns in the Sora area.

Origins and tradition

The fair has its roots in the 19th century and still retains the character of a traditional village market fair, serving as a moment of exchange and gathering for local families. The date is not accidental: the event, set by the City Council, traditionally falls on the first Sunday following September 8th. Over the years, side events such as "The Saturday of the Fair" have been added to build anticipation for the main day.

The 2026 program

The 2026 edition takes place on Sunday, September 13th, and is the centerpiece of the Broccostella Summer 2026 calendar, promoted by the Municipality with the patronage of the Lazio Regional Council. The morning is dedicated to the large market in the town center, featuring stalls, local products, and handicrafts. In the evening, Piazza Don Gerardo Apruzzese becomes the stage for entertainment: at 8:45 PM, the Tammurriata with Franco Tipsi, a journey through Southern folk music, and at 10:00 PM, the comedy of the well-known Apulian actor Uccio De Santis.

The market and the Ornithological Exchange Exhibition

September 13th also hosts the 10th AOBL Exchange Exhibition, organized by the Ornithological Association of Lower Lazio, scheduled at the Sports Hall from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. This event, dedicated to bird-keeping enthusiasts, enriches the fair and confirms its popular appeal, featuring stalls, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.

An event of the Municipality and the Ciociaria

Organized by the Municipality of Broccostella, the fair is now much more than just a market: it is a way to experience the town and rediscover a sense of community. Included in the Ciociaria tourist calendar, the event represents one of the best opportunities to discover this corner of Lazio, amidst rural traditions, local flavors, and village hospitality.
