A weekend of love and Carnival in the Old Town and the Villa Comunale
In mid-February, Castellammare di Stabia, a spa and seaside town in the Metropolitan City of Naples in Campania, combines two deeply felt celebrations: Carnival and Valentine's Day. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Castellammare di Stabia, transforms the Old Town and the Villa Comunale into festive hubs for three days, with free events designed for families, children, and visitors.
On Friday, the Villa Comunale hosts the "Children's City Carnival" from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm: a space for play, creativity, and storytelling about the city, animated by local school students engaged in various creative and educational activities. The workshops explore the different souls of Castellammare through projects such as:
On Saturday, Valentine's Day, the Old Town takes center stage with the "A Love for the Historic Center" event, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm: music, sharing, good food, and love for the city, involving local churches, historic confraternities, and the Borgo Antico Stabia association. In the Villa Comunale, Coldiretti sets up a charming flower heart, the perfect backdrop for Valentine's Day selfies.
On Sunday, back in the Villa Comunale from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, there is space for the Slow Food Earth Market, with stands and workshops dedicated to local products: an opportunity to celebrate the taste, culture, and local excellence of the Stabian and Campanian tradition.
The formula combines Carnival and Valentine's Day into a single program that traverses the city's iconic landmarks: the historic Villa Comunale overlooking the gulf and the alleys of the Old Town. It is a way to rediscover the identity of Castellammare di Stabia, between the sea, thermal baths, popular traditions, and the community, during a festive weekend open to everyone.
The 2026 edition took place from Friday, February 13 to Sunday, February 15, combining Carnival and Valentine's Day in a widespread program promoted by the Municipality of Castellammare di Stabia between the Old Town and the Villa Comunale.
