The international street artists' review in Alto Molise
The CastelDelGiudice Buskers Festival is the international street artists' review that lights up Castel del Giudice every summer. This municipality, with just over three hundred inhabitants in the province of Isernia, is located in Alto Molise, bordering Abruzzo. Founded in 2017, the event has transformed a small Apennine village into a live street art showcase, capable of attracting visitors from all over Molise and neighboring regions.
For one evening, the village streets, Piazza Marconi, and the panoramic terrace of the Borgotufi scattered hotel come alive with balancing acts, acrobatics, clowning, fire dancing, and musical performances. Over the years, the festival has hosted performers from Italy, China, Argentina, France, and Brazil, with artistic direction entrusted to industry professionals like Gigi Russo of InStrada.
The Buskers Festival is part of a broader village regeneration project, recognized nationally and linked to the Borgotufi experience and the Ministry of Culture's program for villages. Admission is free, and the format, starting in the late afternoon, is also designed for families with children.
The event takes place in August, in the heart of Castel del Giudice (IS). An opportunity to discover an authentic corner of Alto Molise amidst entertainment, street food, and mountain landscapes.
After reaching its tenth anniversary in 2025, the CastelDelGiudice Buskers Festival is expected again in August 2026 in the village of Alto Molise. The review maintains its established format: international street art, free admission, and an evening that transforms the village into a large open-air stage.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition, including the lineup of artists, will be announced by the Municipality of Castel del Giudice and the Pro Loco in the weeks preceding the event.
