Throughout December, Cassino, a city in the Frosinone province of lower Lazio, dons its festive attire. Along Corso della Repubblica and the central squares, the Christmas Markets spring to life—a trail of decorated wooden chalets scented with local delicacies, artisanal sweets, and gift ideas. The festive lights and scenic displays invite residents and visitors alike to enjoy a holiday stroll that blends tradition, flavor, and conviviality.

A widespread Christmas

In recent years, the municipal administration has adopted the 'widespread Christmas' concept: festivities are not confined to the historic center but extend to the suburbs and the city's cultural landmarks. Four departments—Tourism, Culture, Commerce, and Social Cohesion—work together with the Pro Loco of Cassino to build a rich calendar designed to engage every age group and make the magic of the holidays accessible to everyone.

Crafts and local products

The heart of the markets lies in the Christmas chalets, which host artisans and small-scale producers. Here, you will find handmade goods, decorations, gastronomic specialties, and typical products from the Ciociaria region. It is the perfect opportunity to purchase authentic gifts and support local businesses in an atmosphere that celebrates traditional arts and local craftsmanship.

Shows and entertainment

The program features a mix of roving performances, live music, and entertainment for children. The 2025 edition kicked off on December 6th on Corso della Repubblica, featuring the SouthZone Saxophone Quartet and a Santa Claus parade with his elves. Piazza Diamare and the city streets become open-air stages, hosting sociocultural events and recreational activities that keep the city lively until Epiphany.
