The symbolic dish of Bergamascan cuisine and the harvest festival
The casoncello (casonsei in dialect) is one of the symbolic dishes of Bergamo's gastronomic tradition: a stuffed pasta with an unmistakable taste, blending sweet and savory. In Canonica d'Adda, a town in the Bergamo plains overlooking the Adda river, on the border with the province of Milan, the Pro Loco Arti e Tradizioni dedicates a festival to it every year, intertwined with the Grape Festival, in homage to the flavors of autumn and the harvest.
The event takes place over two days and offers, alongside casoncelli and local gastronomy, shows, entertainment, and moments of celebration that recall the peasant tradition of the Grape Festival. It is an opportunity to savor Bergamascan cuisine in a convivial and popular setting.
Canonica d'Adda is located along the Adda river, in a historically rich plain area, in the province of Bergamo. The festival, promoted by the Pro Loco, is one of the most heartfelt occasions to rediscover the traditions and flavors of the town.

The Pro Loco Arti e Tradizioni, as usual, will provide gastronomic stands, shows, and entertainment. The complete timetable will be published by the Pro Loco in the weeks preceding the event.
