Antiques, mid-century modern, and pop culture at the A1Expò Exhibition Centre
The Caserta Vintage Fair takes place in the halls of the A1Expò Exhibition Centre in San Marco Evangelista, in the province of Caserta, just a few hundred metres from the Caserta Sud motorway exit. Over the years, it has become one of the most popular events in Campania for lovers of antiques, mid-century modern design, and objects with a story to tell. In February 2026, the event marked its twenty-second edition, a testament to its constant growth fueled by word-of-mouth among collectors and enthusiasts.
Each edition brings together more than 300 exhibitors from across Southern Italy, spread over thousands of square metres of indoor space and organized into themed areas. The selection ranges from antique furniture and ceramics to mid-century design pieces, bric-a-brac, artisanal crafts, and specialized collector showcases.
The fair is more than just buying and selling. Throughout the halls, DJ sets spin the atmosphere of the eighties and nineties—in the September 2025 edition, the console was helmed by Enzo Rossi—while a spacious food court allows visitors to take a break without leaving the exhibition centre. With affordable entry and free admission for children under twelve, it is a family-friendly outing; dogs are welcome if kept on a leash and muzzled.
The Vintage Fair returns to A1Expò several times a year, following the rhythm of the exhibition season. In 2026, the Valentine's Day and Carnival edition, dubbed «Carneval in Love» (14-15 February), and the three-day May Day long weekend (1-3 May), which closed the 2025/2026 season, have already taken place. After the summer break, the next date is set for 12 and 13 September 2026, with continuous opening hours from 10:00 to 20:00.
Behind the hunt for a bargain lies a clear philosophy championed by the organizers: vintage as a concrete form of reuse and sustainability. Buying a second-hand garment, restoring a lamp, or bringing a nineties console back to life means extending the lifespan of objects. Alongside this, the fair has recently opened an area dedicated to nerd culture, featuring comics, video games, and toys that appeal to younger generations and have quickly found a dedicated audience.
The municipality of San Marco Evangelista, with just over six thousand inhabitants in the industrial belt south of Caserta, owes much of its fame to the A1Expò exhibition centre, which hosts fairs, trade shows, and the Christmas Village throughout the year. Its location is ideal for combining a visit with a day in the rest of Campania: the Royal Palace of Caserta and its park are just a ten-minute drive away, while the Belvedere of San Leucio and the Campanian Amphitheatre of Santa Maria Capua Vetere complete an itinerary spanning Bourbon heritage and Roman archaeology.
The official calendar of the A1Expò Exhibition Centre sets the new Vintage Fair for Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September 2026, from 10:00 to 20:00. It is the event that reopens the season after the summer and brings the community of Campania collectors back to San Marco Evangelista, in the province of Caserta.
The formula is the one consolidated in previous editions: over three hundred exhibitors divided into themed areas, from antiques to mid-century modern design, from retro clothing to vinyl, from bric-a-brac to crafts, as well as toys, modelling, retrogaming, comics, numismatics, and watches. There is also space reserved for classic cars and motorcycles, which is very popular with motor enthusiasts.
Throughout the year, the event has already offered two stages: the twenty-second edition on 14-15 February, dedicated to the Valentine's Day weekend and the start of Carnival with the title «Carneval in Love», and the three-day event from 1 to 3 May, the final edition of the 2025/2026 season, extended by one day for the May Day holiday.
The A1Expò Exhibition Centre is located at Viale delle Industrie 10 in San Marco Evangelista (CE), just a few hundred metres from the Caserta Sud exit of the A1 Milan-Naples motorway. By train, get off at Caserta station, about 6 km away, and continue by taxi or local bus.
Continuous opening from 10:00 to 20:00 on all fair days. Admission is €3.50 per person, free for children under 12. Internal parking costs €3.00-€3.50 for the whole day; approximately 2,000 parking spaces are available outside.
