The Music Festival on the island of Ischia

The Casamicciola Terme Music Festival is the event that transforms the square of the Pontifical Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Saint Mary Magdalene into an open-air stage every June 21st. Promoted by the Pro Loco of Casamicciola Terme APS, with the patronage of the Municipality of Casamicciola Terme, the event brings the spirit of the great international music celebration, observed worldwide on the summer solstice, to the island of Ischia.

A celebration of all music

The principle remains the same as it has since the festival's inception: to give a voice to anyone who wants to play or sing, without distinction. The square hosts a rotation of choirs, vocal groups, amateur musicians, and professionals, in a program open to all musical genres. Participation is free and requires online registration, while concerts are always free to attend for the public.

The 2026 theme: «The voice of places»

The 2026 edition, the twenty-sixth on the island, revolves around the theme «The voice of places», a tribute to the contribution that choirs have made and continue to make throughout Italy, highlighting the cultural characteristics and traditions of each territory. A common thread that weaves together music, identity, and landscape, perfectly suited to the evocative setting of Casamicciola Terme.

Casamicciola Terme and the island of Ischia

Known since antiquity for its thermal springs, Casamicciola Terme is one of the six municipalities on the island of Ischia, in the Gulf of Naples, Campania. The Music Festival fits into the island's summer calendar as a moment of strong popular participation, capable of bringing together residents, tourists, and enthusiasts under the June sky, in front of one of the most important churches in the area.
