The fig takes center stage

In Casale Litta - a municipality in the province of Varese in the heart of Valbossa - the fig is a typical local product, and the Festa dei Fichi was created precisely to celebrate it. Organized by the Matt de Casàa association, the festival transforms the courtyards and streets of the town into a journey of taste and tradition centered around this autumn fruit for four days.

Creative cuisine centered around figs

The heart of the festival is the cuisine, with dishes that reinterpret the fig in an original way: from ravioli with guinea fowl and figs to risotto with figs and scamorza, along with numerous other sweet and savory proposals. A carefully curated gastronomic offering, capable of surprising and showcasing the versatility of an ingredient tied to the land of Casale Litta.

In addition to food, the Festa dei Fichi offers live music, a market with local products and crafts, and various shows, in a festive atmosphere that engages all ages. Together with the Sagra da Casà, it is one of the events that make September in Casale Litta one of the liveliest in the Varese area, a result of the commitment of the town's associations and volunteers.
