Five evenings of festival in the hamlet of Mure, featuring gnocchi, lagoon fried fish, and music
The Carmine Festival takes place in the hamlet of Mure di Colceresa, a municipality in the province of Vicenza formed by the merger of Mason Vicentino and Molvena. It is one of the most popular festivals in the area, attracting visitors from all over the foothills in July thanks to its abundant cuisine and entertainment evenings.
The heart of the festival is the food stall, with a rich menu of Venetian tradition: gnocchi and bigoli with meat sauces, duck, tomato, butter and sage, or pesto; grilled chicken, sausage, and ribs with polenta and fries; the famous roast beef and, above all, the gran frittura della laguna (large lagoon fried fish platter) with polenta and the bacaro's fish board, dishes that have made this festival a benchmark for fish lovers.
The five evenings are marked by musical and themed events: ethnic nights, tribute bands, DJ sets, and the traditional fireworks on the closing night. The festival is entirely managed by the volunteers of Pro Loco Colceresa and maintains the authentic character of a village festival.
The festival is linked to the feast of the Madonna del Carmine, which in mid-July gives its name and calendar to the event. Around this occasion, the community of Mure comes together, in one of the most cherished events of the Colceresa summer.
The Carmine Festival will return to Mure di Colceresa in July 2026, following the traditional mid-month schedule which in recent years has seen the festival take place over five evenings (in 2025 from July 11th to 16th).
For 2026 too, Pro Loco Colceresa will offer its food stall with gnocchi and bigoli with traditional sauces, grilled meats, the large lagoon fried fish platter, and seafood specialties, along with musical evenings and the concluding fireworks.
Precise dates and the evening program for the 2026 edition will be announced by Pro Loco Colceresa in the weeks leading up to the festival.
The usual structure includes five evenings with the food stall open, themed evenings (ethnic, tribute band, DJ set), an evening dedicated to steak (reservations required), and fireworks on the closing night.
The large lagoon fried fish platter and the bacaro's fish board, along with the fireworks on the final night.
